Description

A good-sized Chinese dish, decorated in underglaze cobalt blue, and dating from the mid Ming period. The dish is decorated over its surface with vigorously-painted peony scrolls and flowers, and with ornamental rockwork to the centre. There are further peony scrolls and flowers around the outside of the dish. Diameter 32cm (12.6")

Dating: Hongzi 1488 - 1505

Condition:

There are 3 consolidated hairlines from the rim
