Description

An attractive, delicately-potted and translucent Chinese bowl with brown-dressed rim, decorated in underglaze blue in a calligraphic style, and dating from the late Ming or early Qing Transitional period. The outside of the bowl is decorated with scrolls and precious objects, all painted in a swift and calligraphic style.  The base has a single character mark within double underglaze blue circles.  Diameter 11.5cm (4.5”).

The wooden stand is for display purposes only, and is not included in the price.

Dating: Transitional period, late Ming to early Qing c 1630 - 1660

Condition:

Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration.  There is light wear to the glaze inside the bowl from use.
