Description
An attractive Chinese saucer, moulded with two rows of petals, decorated with overglaze famille verte enamels, and dating from the Kangxi period. The centre of the saucer is decorated with a bird sitting on rockwork, surrounded by peony plants and flowers. Rhe rim is decorated with a band of flowering plants including lotus, chrysanthemum and peony. The back of the saucer has further flower sprays around the rim and a conch shell mark in underglaze blue to the base. Diameter 12.9cm (5.1”)
