Description
A rare and fine quality small European-decorated Chinese bowl or cup with cover dating from the Qianlong period. The outside and inside of the bowl, and the outside of the cover (which has a serrated top), have been profusely decorated in Europe with a most attractive gilt decoration of birds amidst flowers and foliage. Diameter of bowl 7.3cm (2.9")

Condition
Both the bowl and cover are in excellent condition. The tips of two of the serrations to the lid are missing, but otherwise no chips, cracks or restoration. As can be appreciated from the images the gilt decoration is also in excellent condition.
